Intermediate / Advanced level, minimum 2 people
This 5 night tour will allow you to explore and discover the best of the Alentejo using quiet roads and good tracks. The tour takes you across the rolling fields of the Alentejo (to the east of Lisbon) passing through vineyards and open fields and passing by ancient castles and cork trees.
Medieval walled villages, dot the landscape, sheep and goats graze lazily, the roads are traffic free and the people are so friendly.
National Geographic magazine has voted the Alentejo one of the ‘best places in the world’ to visit – come and see for yourselves!
You cycle on country roads and good tracks, busy main roads are avoided wherever possible and so are steep hills.
